The flu season is expected to pick up in Wisconsin soon.
Dr. Ryan Murphy of Aurora BayCare in Green Bay says they start to see increases around the holiday season. He says people also tend to stay inside more with the colder weather, so it’s easier for the flu to spread.
Murphy says there’s still time to get a flu shot.
The CDC says flu activity is low in Wisconsin right now, compared to the rest of the country. The state is reporting more than 480 confirmed cases, so far this season. There’s been a spike in them in Minnesota recently.
