Sammy Hagar has posted a short clip from Farm Aid in 1985. The video shows Hagar performing Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll” alongside Eddie Van Halen.
This was Sammy’s first time playing with Eddie, and his last with the Sammy Hagar Band. Hagar would officially join Van Halen later that year.
Van Halen with Sammy would eventually add “Rock and Roll” into the set list on the tour for their first album together,”5150.”
While never released on an album, the Van Halen version of the song did feature as the band’s closer on their 1986 concert film, Live Without a Net.
