Appleton’s longtime leader will have a new job after he leaves office.
Mayor Tim Hanna will be the executive director of the Local Government Institute of Wisconsin. The group was created by local government organizations to develop partnerships between local governments, and with the state government.
Hanna isn’t running for re-election in April after six, four-year terms.
