An Oshkosh group that focuses on racial equality is releasing a photo book that’s based on a traveling photo exhibit.
Fit Oshkosh co-founder Tracey Robertson says there’s a lot of demand for keeping the exhibit going, so they decided to turn it into a book. She says it tells the stories of 20 people of color, and their challenges and successes living in Oshkosh.
Robertson says they wanted to dispel the false narrative that people of color moved to Oshkosh for the prison, or from the ghettos of Chicago or Milwaukee.
