A national political reporter for ABC News thinks it would take a super-majority of the public to support removing a president from office.
Terry Moran is a Lawrence University graduate, and he says over the years, people have shown there should be a very, very high bar. He says that’s why it’s never happened before.
Former President Richard Nixon resigned before the House could vote on impeachment.
Moran believes the current case against President Trump is a “little light” on evidence. He says because of the timeline House Democrats set, they didn’t wait to see if they could get more. He says the courts didn’t get a chance to decide whether some White House officials should be forced to testify.
Moran was a guest on Fresh Take on WHBY.
