An app lets Winnefox Library System users check out things through their phone.
The system includes libraries in Oshkosh, Neenah, Menasha, and communities to the south and west.
Lisa Voss of the Oshkosh Public Library says people can access the barcode from their library card on the app, and use self-checkout stations without needing to have their card with them. She says they can also track items they’ve checked out, see their due dates, and place holds on items.
Voss says parents can also keep tabs on their children’s accounts, including due dates.
