The wait continues for ice skaters hoping to return to Jones Park in Appleton.
The regular rink and hockey rink have been closed for a few years because of construction.
Greg Hoekstra of the city parks and recreation department says workers hoped to have them ready in time for Christmas. He says then the mild temperatures hit, and that forced them to hold off.
Hoekstra says the weather forecast calls for colder temperatures early next week, so they’ll try again.
The renovated Jones Park also has a pavilion that ice skaters can use.
