The DOT won’t lower the speed limit along Highway 15 between Greenville and New London.
The agency studied traffic patterns, and the factors that went into crashes. The report shows fewer than 10 percent of drivers would follow a 45 mile-an-hour speed limit.
The DOT also is recommending against making any immediate changes to the design of the highway. The State Patrol does plan to spend more time along the road looking for speeders.
