The state is reporting the first child death from the flu in Wisconsin this season.
Tom Haupt of the Department of Health Services says the child was under 10, and from southeast Wisconsin.
He says about 15 percent of the more than 600 people hospitalized with the flu, so far, had to be treated in intensive care.
