Open the app, sign up, and then find the menu in the top left corner. Click on “Follow,” “Government,” “City” and hit the “Follow” tab next to De Police Department. It will turn green.
De Pere police are joining an app to let people know about emergencies and major incidents.
Officer Jedd Bradley says the “You Get It First” app sends notifications, with information about what’s going on, quickly. He says it can be used to send messages on things like abductions, school lockdowns, and police situations that people should stay away from.
They only want to send notifications when they’re necessary, to make sure app users pay attention to them.
