Two high school kids were wrestling at a meet in Kannapolis, North Carolina on Saturday when one of the kids did a move that the ref called illegal, lifting up the other kid and basically slamming him down on his head and neck. The expert on the mat at the time of the incident gave the hand signals to call the student athlete’s move as illegal.
Then out of nowhere, Barry Jones, the other kid’s dad, ran out of the crowd and full-body tackled the his son’s opponent.
Jones was arrested for simple assault and disorderly conduct and received a $1,000 secured bond.
