That Little OI' Band from Texas Documentary Via Amazon
ZZ Top has released a tease from the home video release of its 2019 documentary, ZZ Top: That Little Ol’ Band from Texas, which will be released on February 28.
A video of the Texas trio playing a live rendition of its 1971 gem “Brown Sugar” (not to be confused with the classic Rolling Stones song of the same name) can be viewed below.
The performance comes from the special features of the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release. It’s one of several early ZZ Top tunes captured at 140-year-old Gruene Hall, “the oldest continually run dance hall in Texas,” especially for the movie.
In addition to the Gruene Hall performances, the DVD and Blu-ray’s bonus content includes archival footage of ZZ Top playing live between 1976 and 1981.
