The state’s Democratic U.S. Senator wants former National Security Adviser John Bolton to testify in the Senate’s impeachment trial because of what’s included in his new book.
Bolton wrote that President Trump told Bolton in August that he was continuing to hold military aid to Ukraine, until the country helped with investigating Democrats.
Sen. Tammy Baldwin of Madison says that’s not what the president contends, and that means the president or Bolton isn’t telling the truth. She thinks that means everyone should be interested in hearing from Bolton as a witness.
