Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is getting a $15 million challenge grant to raise money for mental health programs.
It’s the largest single gift in the system’s history.
Vice President of Mental and Behavioral Health Amy Herbst says they’re looking for donations to match. Eventually, they hope to put $150 million toward the initiative.
Herbst says they want to increase access to mental health treatment, so they can catch things earlier. She also hopes to get rid of the stigma about mental health.
