The Town of Clayton will get its water and sewer services from Fox Crossing.
The two communities worked out a deal, two years after Clayton initially signed one with Appleton. The town will pay Fox Crossing $11.5 million.
Fox Crossing Village President Dale Youngquist says they approached Clayton, because they thought they were a better fit. He says the wastewater will come through the village’s pipes and end up at the Fox West Regional treatment plant. The water will come from village wells.
A sticking point for Clayton was Fox Crossing’s interest in annexing parts of the town. The village agreed not to do that for the next 10 years.
