Some bikes that people drop off at Outagamie County’s landfill will be back on the streets.
Recycling Administrator Joanne Gorski says they’re working with Riverview Gardens to fix them, and give them to volunteers. She says they have to help at the Gardens for 15 hours to get one. They’ll come with a light, lock and helmet.
Gorski says it’s better than recycling the bikes for scrap metal.
The county started setting the bikes aside a couple of months ago, and the first 20 were dropped off at Riverview Gardens last week.
