A small business owner is one of eight candidates for Appleton mayor.
The primary is in less than two weeks, on February 18th.
Dana Johnson owns a business consulting company and Mood Salon in Grand Chute. He believes his experience with small businesses and social work would help him on the job.
Johnson says he would focus on economic development, including creating an innovation hub in the downtown. He also wants affordable housing and activities along the Fox River, so everyone can enjoy the waterfront.
He thinks the city’s utilities and transit system need to be strong, so they can help with economic development.
WHBY will be talking with all eight candidates before the primary.
