The state is testing four more people for potential cases of coronavirus.
The Department of Health Services reported the first confirmed case yesterday in the Madison area.
Epidemiologist Tom Haupt says that person is recovering, and they’re reaching out to anyone the adult had contact with. He says that includes anyone in the person’s home, and hospital staff.
State Health Officer Jeanne Ayers says there’s a low risk to the general public.
She says the four people being tested either recently traveled, or they had contact with someone with coronavirus. So far, the state has tested 14 people, and they’re waiting for the results for six of them. Seven people were cleared.
