There’s a proposal to let people grow out their lawns in Appleton in May.
Ald. Alex Schultz says they hope to provide more habitat for pollinators, like bees. He’s joining several other council members, in asking the city to suspend its height limit for grass and weeds, during that month.
Schultz also wants to give everyone a two-week grace period at the start of June, before the city could start ticketing people.
The city’s municipal services committee could take up the “No Mow May” proposal later this month.
