A candidate for mayor of Appleton is proposing to upgrade some of the city’s parks.
Robin Kettleson will be one of eight people on next Tuesday’s primary ballot.
He’s planning a new disc golf course at Erb Park for elementary school students. He wants to expand the course at Pierce Park from nine baskets to 18, and also build an extensive trail system.
Kettleson says he’s lived downtown for about 30 years, and he has an idea for a big event. He believes an Apple Blossom Festival in the third week of June could be a bookend to Octoberfest.
WHBY News is talking with all of the candidates, leading up to the primary.
