A group is getting another grant to help laid off retail workers.
The nearly $100,000 is from the state Department of Workforce Development. The Fox Valley Workforce Development Board also received nearly $65,000 for a similar grant last year.
Director Anthony Snyder says those jobs are typically non-skilled and low paying, and the idea is to help people get skills. He says they can connect people with a local technical college, and pay for their tuition.
The grant can also cover the costs of books, mileage and childcare.
