The ninth day of the Sturgeon spearing season came to a close yesterday and fewer people took part.
DNR Fisheries Biologist Ryan Koenigs blames iffy ice conditions.
He says 41 fish were harvested in Lake Winnebago yesterday bringing the season total to 260 fish so far.
At the Upriver Lakes, 25 fish were registered yesterday.
The season total there is 259.
Koenigs expects the season will go the full 16 days.
