Prosecutors are charging a community service officer for the Grand Chute police department with possessing child pornography.
Twenty-three-year-old Casey Welk is facing 10 counts. He was arrested at his Grand Chute home Tuesday.
Prosecutors say a tip came in from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Welk was sharing pictures through Instagram. He’s accused of having five pictures on his cell phone, and five on his laptop.
They say he admitted moving from adult pornography to child pornography, and called it “pathetic.” Welk is also accused of telling investigators it’s somewhat of a relief to get caught.
Outagamie County Court Commissioner Brian Figy set a $10,000 bond.
