People are still getting flu shots, helping the state set a new record.
Tom Haupt of the Department of Health Services says 41 percent have been vaccinated so far. He says fewer than 20 percent got the shot last season.
Haupt says about 190 people in the state had to be hospitalized overnight, because of flu symptoms.
He thinks the season could be close to its peak. Once that hits, the number of cases should still be higher than normal for another three to four weeks.
