A “teacher’s pet” is making Kaukauna High School students feel better about themselves.
English teacher Betsy Brooks is bringing her trained therapy dog “Chewbacca” to class with her, three days a week. She believes having him in the room just calms the atmosphere. She says her dog just adds to the positive environment she works to create.
“Chewie” is a golden-doodle. Brooks also brought him to class when she taught in Antigo.
