The opening of the Community First Champion Center was the big highlight for tourism in the Fox Cities last year.
The Fox Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau held its annual breakfast this morning in downtown Appleton.
Spokeswoman Beth Knapinski says they helped bring in almost 100 conventions and meetings last year, and they filled nearly 17,000 hotel rooms. The bureau was also involved with more than 160 sporting events, and they generated nearly 20,000 room nights.
The bureau plans to focus on a new branding campaign in 2020.
