The leader of the state’s health department says when they learn something new about coronavirus, the public will know about it too.
Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm says they’ll be transparent. She says the risk to the general public remains low at this time.
Palm met with state lawmakers at the Capitol today. She says they’re working on plans, in case there are coronavirus outbreaks in places where a lot of people are together, like long-term care facilities and prisons.
The state has had one case of the virus. The person traveled to China, and was quarantined at home.
