The body of a 24-year-old man who went missing one month ago was pulled from the East River in Green Bay yesterday.
Jeffrey Maldonado fell through the ice around Roosevelt and Main streets.
Green Bay’s dive team spent hours searching the East River yesterday.
Esmeralda Carroll is Maldonado’s sister.
She and other family members were on site during the search.
Lieutenant Steve Mahoney with the police department’s dive team says officers were called to the East River on February 8th and saw a person go under.
He says ice conditions made rescue dangerous so they couldn’t go in the water.
Mahoney says they were able to look yesterday because the ice melted.
