There will be a limit of one visitor per patient at ThedaCare hospitals and clinics.
Dr. David Brooks is the chair of infectious disease and control, and he says they now only have one visitor entrance. He says those visitors will be screened before they’re allowed in. They’ll also be limited to the patient’s room, and that floor, so they’re not walking around the hospitals.
ThedaCare is also banning visitors at hospice facilities. There are exceptions for a major change in someone’s condition, and if patients are at the end of their life.
Other hospitals are also changing their rules. Aurora is banning all visitors, with some exceptions.
HSHS and Bellin Health are also setting new restrictions.
