Governor Evers is officially asking the U.S. Small Business Administration to help Wisconsin businesses and nonprofit organizations.
He wants the federal agency to offer low-interest loans to offset revenue losses from the coronavirus outbreak.
The governor is also expected to issue an executive order to speed up unemployment benefits to workers impacted by business shutdowns.
Evers is meeting with Legislative leaders today to talk about a more far-reaching emergency plan.
