When a trip to the local grocery store seems like a longshot these days, an international trip to one of the world’s greatest cities seems like a far off dream. I have to say, this is NOT an official statement on the status of the WAPL International Incident trip to London/Paris this September. I’m just being realistic – it may not happen with coronavirus changing the state of the world literally by the minute.
Honestly, I’ve been researching side-excursions for this trip as soon as it was announced and one of my must-see places in Paris has been the infamous Catacombs of Paris. Yes, excited, about spending time in one of the creepiest places on Earth.
The horror fan site Dread Central posted a virtual tour of the Winchester Mystery House recently which is very creepy and cool. They’ve now done the same for housebound horror fans with the Catacombs of Paris HERE. You have the chance to tour the along virtually with 200 miles of tunnels and the entombed spirits of nearly 6-million corpses.
If you’re into a little more stylized horror concerning the Catacombs of Paris may I suggest the 2014, found-footage film ‘As Above, So Below.’ Where an expadition into the Catacombs in search of the Philosopher’s Stone, goes sideways and the only way out, is down.
