Obviously, with COVID-19 affecting everyday life we all need to practice social distancing. But what about romantic relationships? How do we cope in this new (but temporary) normal?
If you’re in a romantic relationship now or looking for one, consider the words of a biological anthropologist. Helen Fisher is Chief Scientific Advisor at dating site Match, and she offers some encouragement in this short CBS This Morning interview:
In the above video, note Fisher’s use of the terms “ safe space” and “structure” in regard to couples in the same living quarters. Not bad advice if you ask me.
She also mentioned dressing for dinner. Hmmmm…. That’s pushing it as far as my effort would go. After all, if I’m not leaving my house, the PJs aren’t leaving my body.
A final thought. Maybe it’s been said before, but when it comes to romantic relationships, I think there are plenty of men who won’t get dressed up unless they think they’ll get undressed later. Think about it.
