The state Supreme Court won’t hear the case of an Oneida man found guilty of killing an elderly couple.
Vance Reed argues he was unlawfully stopped by police before agreeing to provide a DNA sample. A state appeals court ruled he agreed to talk with investigators in the driveway of a home.
Reed pleaded no contest to the 2016 murders of Harry and Lorraine Brown Bear.
He’s serving a life prison sentence, and he’ll be eligible for parole in about 40 years.
