Metallica has a long history of helping communities through their charitable donations, and they’re continuing that work during the coronavirus pandemic.
The band’s All Within My Hands Foundation is donating $350,000 to four organizations:
- Feeding America, which works with local food banks on donations and food distribution assistance, is getting $100,000.
- Direct Relief, which has provided more than 40 tons of personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers in 22 countries, is getting $100,000.
- Crew Nation, which was set up by Live Nation to help touring and venue crews who make their living show-to-show, gets $100,000.
- USBG National Charity Foundation, whose Bartender Emergency Assistance Program that assists qualified bartenders, bar backs and bar servers in need of financial assistance, will get $50,000.
The band is encouraging fans who can afford it to donate to one of these charities.

WAPL will rebroadcast every #MetallicaMondays concert the following week at 5:00pm CT, leading up to the next streamed show from the band.
The band has collected over $15,000 in additional donations during the two broadcasts so far.
