In the Movie ‘The Purge’, The Purge is an annual 12-hour period during which all criminal activity, including murder, is legal… with no police, fire, emergency services enlisted to help. And no punishment for whatever criminal acts are committed.

The Kickoff of “The Purge” is heralded by a siren. An eerily-familiar siren was used in Crowley, Louisiana last night.
Louisiana TV station KATC3 uploaded what the ‘Purge Siren‘ sounded like in the Arcadia Parish community where police drove around playing the siren signaling the curfew’s beginning.

Arcadia Police said about the siren to KATC, “Last night a ‘Purge Siren’ was utilized by the Crowley Police Department as part of their starting curfew. We have received numerous complaints with the belief that our agency was involved in this process. We were not involved in the use of the ‘Purge Siren’ and will not utilize any type of siren for this purpose,” – Acadia Parish sheriff K.P. Gibson
The city’s police chief, Jimmy Broussard, told KATC that he didn’t know the noise was from “The Purge” movies, and doesn’t plan to use any other type of siren in the future.
