Eddie Kramer is one of rock’s greatest engineers. His name has graced the album notes of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, KISS, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Traffic, Derek & the Dominos, “Frampton Comes Alive,” “Woodstock,” and tons more. Now, Kramer will be the subject of the feature documentary, From the Other Side of the Glass.
The rock doc will be directed by John Dorsey (ESPN 30 for 30: “Year of the Scab”) and produced by Joe Berlinger (“Metallica: Some Kind of Monster”) and Spencer Proffer (“Chasing Trane”). Rolling Stone magazine is assisting with the project as well.
The film is expected to focus on Kramer as a witness to rock history, while also exploring his own psyche and personal development.
While the film is in production, producers plan to exhibit Kramer’s photography this year. A book of his vintage photos is also expected to follow the film’s release.
