U.K. medical officials are issuing a statement about Brits occupying themselves during the coronavirus lockdown, “Please, be careful.”
Apparently the quarantine has resulted in an surge of power tool injuries as Brits occupy their time in the shop, garden and kitchen trying to while away the extra time.

People are starting to cook more, garden more and work around the house more but health officials are asking the public to quarantine their risky behavior involving power tools due to the fact healthcare personnel and resources are overwhelmed during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus leaving precious little time to treat anything but coronavirus patients.
Mark Henley, President of The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons told The Telegraph, “With so many people at home, plastic surgeons are particularly worried about the potential for an increase in traumatic injuries from activities such as DIY, gardening, cooking and hot water – if everyone can take extra care, it would be hugely appreciated.”
Unless you’ve always wanted to be called ‘Stumpy’ then, cut away!
