Kaukauna Mayor Tony Penterman won his bid for re-election.
Penterman defeated Ald. Brian Schell Skelly, 76 percent to 24 percent. He will serve a second, two-year term.
Penterman is concerned about the impact of coronavirus in the community, including the potential for some businesses to close, and houses to fall into foreclosure.
He says if that happens, property values could go down, and the city would have less property tax revenue for the budget. He says then city leaders would have to decide whether to cut services or raise taxes.
Penterman was elected in 2018, when former mayor Gene Rosin decided to retire.
