The website Louder Sound conducted a poll amongst it’s readers to determine the top 50 rock albums of the 90’s. 1990 was 30 years ago, just let that sink in a little bit. Now the 90’s may have started with the height of the Seattle based grunge genre with bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and of course Soundgarden, but you also have heavy music going more mainstream with the onset of Nu-metal, let’s not forget about industrial, and of course by the end of the decade punk was king. Now while this list does not have staples like Follow The Leader from Korn, Godsmack by Godsmack or Significant Other from Limp Bizkit, it’s impossible to argue any of these choices given their influence and impact on music and pop culture. The full list is below and if you’d like to read more about each album check out Louder Sound.
