People around the country will be able to see a tribute to a fallen Appleton firefighter.
Karl’s Transport of Antigo is honoring Driver-Engineer Mitch Lundgaard on a semi trailer. He was on a medical call at the downtown transit center in May of last year, when he was shot and killed.
The trailer features pictures of Lundgaard in uniform, and with his family.
Stacy Kegley of South Side Design and Graphics worked on the project, and he says they wanted to show Lundgaard as a person.
Karl’s Transport designs trailers ever year to remember fallen soldiers, police officers, and firefighters. Kegley says they’re planning to decorate about 20 new semi trailers this year.
