Governor Evers says it’s critically important for people to have the right to protest, but he believes it’s even more important to continue to save lives.
There were protests in some communities around the state last weekend over the “safer at home” order.
Evers understands that people are frustrated. But he thinks the “vast majority” of people in the state understand the importance of being “safer at home.”
Evers says he knows people want this to be over. He believes the way that’s going to happen is to make sure people are following the social distancing rules, and the state follows its plan for reopening the economy.
