A longtime member of the Appleton school board had her final meeting last night.
Diane Barkmeier didn’t run for another term after 24 years.
Board President Kay Eggert thanked Barkmeier, calling her highly respected, thoughtful and open-minded. She says Barkmeier often talked about how “it really is all about the kids.”
Two new members will be joining the school board after this month’s election. They’re Kristine Sauter and Gary Jahnke.
