The public health officer for Appleton isn’t going to retire in June after all.
Kurt Eggebrecht says it would be tough to walk away during a pandemic.
Mayor Jake Woodford announced the move at last night’s city council meeting. He says they agreed that Eggebrecht would stay on for a year. Woodford says he’s grateful, and Eggebrecht’s decision to continue to serve is a great example for everyone.
Eggebrecht became Appleton’s health officer two decades ago.
