The bankrupt owners of the Menominee Nation Arena in Oshkosh are raising the possibility of liquidation. In their latest re-organization plan, Fox Valley Pro Basketball sets a date of November 17th to sell their future tax incremental financing payments from the city–or they will turn over the arena to Bayland Buildings and walk away. That plan would see the other creditors not receive any compensation. In their answer to that plan, Bayland says it would look at ways to keep the arena open and operating. Both Bayland and the city of Oshkosh have filed objections to the plan–saying that allowing Fox Valley to continue operating the arena until November would put the Wisconsin Herd’s lease in jeopardy. Another hearing on the re-organization plan is scheduled for Wednesday.
