The owner of a pet grooming business in Oshkosh was taken into custody for breaking the “safer at home” order.
Police say Dog Depot on S. Main Street was open last Friday, and the owner was warned several times that the business is not essential, and she had to close immediately.
They say she refused, and officers told her each day she was breaking the law, she could face a new charge from the Winnebago County District Attorney’s office.
Police arrested her today, when they say the store was open again.
Police are reporting it’s the first time they’ve had a business owner defy the order, and continue to not follow it. They say they’ve received messages from similar businesses, and they appreciated everyone being treated fairly.
