Nursing homes and long-term care facilities continue to have strict rules for visitors and state health officials aren’t sure when those might change.
Some facilities have had outbreaks, and Department of Health Services Secretary Julie Willems Van Dijk says they want to make sure people without symptoms don’t spread coronavirus to at-risk residents.
She says facilities are making accommodations when someone is close to death, and they should make sure safeguards are in place.
