Appleton’s fireworks are cancelled for this year.
The Jaycees are announcing the July 3rd event won’t happen because of coronavirus.
Co-chair Chris Solin says they weren’t sure what social distancing guidelines would be in place at that point. He says it’s devastating, because it’s the first time in more than 85 years they’ve had to cancel the fireworks for something besides the weather.
Solin says they considered holding drive-in fireworks but decided against it.
