Rush are streaming two live bonus tracks from the upcoming 40th anniversary edition of their Permanent Waves album. “The Spirit of Radio” was recorded in concert in Manchester, England in 1980, and “Freewill” is from a 1980 show in London.
Permanent Waves is Rush’s seventh studio album, originally released in January 1980. The album features two of Rush’s most well known songs, “Freewill,” and “The Spirit of Radio.”
Permanent Waves was also Rush’s first of many recording sessions at Le Studio in Morin-Heights, Quebec.
The 40th Anniversary of Permanent Waves will come in four editions: the Super Deluxe Edition, the two-CD Deluxe Edition, the three-LP Deluxe Edition, and the Deluxe Digital Edition. You can pre-order the album here.
