A Green Bay fish farm could help with shortages affecting local fish fries.
The Farmory hatched more than 100,000 yellow perch fingerlings, and they could eventually be raised to supply commercial food suppliers.
Technician Anne Schmitz says the perch they raise are certified to be disease-free.
The Farmory hopes to eventually produce up to 250,000 perch in each hatching. They’d be sold to smaller fish farms, or to stock ponds or lakes.
