The diversity coordinator for the City of Appleton recommends leaning into the difficult parts of conversations about the death of George Floyd.
Karen Nelson tells Focus Fox Valley that’s how people learn. She says the 17-year-old girl who recorded Floyd’s death shows the importance of being an “upstanding bystander.”
Appleton Police Chief Todd Thomas is taking part in a panel discussion, with four local pastors tonight. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at Breakthrough Covenant Church in the downtown. It’ll be streamed on Facebook Live.
Up to 100 people will be allowed at the church, while following social distancing rules.
